Changeable weather punctuated this long weekend on a course discovered for the first time by Lara and Aaron.
Aaron competed in his first final. In wet conditions, he showed focus and increased his speed throughout the heats: few mistakes and a maturity that is evident race after race. Unfortunately, he was involved in a collision on the first lap and was forced to retire.
For her part, Lara had to contend with a high fever on Friday morning, but was back on track in the afternoon for practice. She finished last in qualifying on Saturday, a result that doesn’t reflect her overall performance over the weekend. The rain revealed her full potential with controlled starts and five positions gained in the first three corners. However, the wet setup chosen for a track that ultimately dried out caused her to lose speed on the straights. 💪 A work in progress for RTP1 and @estaca_motorsport.
Several race incidents punctuated this event, but it will be remembered above all as a weekend rich in learning for the whole team.
